For many individuals including myself, yoga serves as a transformative journey that fosters greater physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual awakening.

My Journey Began at an Early Age

My introduction to yoga was unconventional yet profoundly influential. Growing up at the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago, spirituality became intricately woven into dly life from childhood. At age six, I received my first mantra from Goswami Kriyananda, my mother's guru, igniting a lifelong passion for meditation that would guide me through every phase of my existence.

The Discovery of Physical Asana

While meditation remned a continuous companion throughout my formative years, it wasn't until the early 20s that I started practicing asanathe physical aspect of yoga. Seeking to deepen my connection between body and mind, this revelation brought forth a new dimension in understanding yoga, emphasizing the importance of physical health as an integral complement to mental and spiritual well-being.

Sharing Yoga's Transformative Power

For decades, I've dedicated myself to sharing the benefits of yoga with individuals across the globe through various platforms. This includes creating yoga DVDs, writing books, contributing articles to wellness publications, developing yoga products, and offering digital resources such as online classes and downloadable videos. Today, DesiBodymind.com allows me to continue this mission by integrating physical practices with mental health techniques for a holistic approach to wellness.
