Transforming My Life: A Journey of Yoga Teacher Trning

In January last year, I found myself in a state of heightened anxiety and distress. My mind was racing, my heart was pounding, and my breaths were shallow and erratic. The weight of emotional overload threatened to crush me as I struggled with overwhelming feelings of anger, sadness, frustration, hurt, and distress. This breakdown was of my mind's inability to cope effectively with the layers lying beneath it - the physical body Prakriti, Prana, Manas, Raja, and finally Atma.

After months of being pushed beyond my limits both mentally and emotionally, a tiny voice that I had long ignored suddenly whispered lovingly. It's time for change, it sd gently but firmly. This inner wisdom was echoing the teachings of Yoga philosophy I've come to learn from Vedic Yoga Academy. It was telling me that there were answers within myself - the wisdom that comes with the layers being restored and balanced.

Yoga: The System of Wisdom

I realized that this system called Yoga held all the solutions to my exhaustion, stress, and breakdown. Instead of seeking a medical diagnosis or relying on pills prescribed by doctors, I turned towards a Yoga teacher trning program as an alternative way out. This was not just about escaping; it was about embracing my awakening and making changes for better.

First Steps in Healing

My first encounter with the guidance of Rahul and Elli at Vedic Yoga Academy felt safe and comforting - far removed from the harsh judgments that often accompany mental health struggles. It was okay to talk about the real issues, to share fears and anxieties without fear of judgment. This loving support environment was a beacon of hope.

The Healing Journey

Day two began with intense symptoms of physical distress following an intensive day of learning and practice. However, my yoga teachers encouraged me - It's common, they assured. Your body is purging the toxins that have accumulated over time. This became a significant turning point in my journey as I learned about diet, water intake, and cleansing practices such as Pranayama, Nadi Shodhanam, joint movements, and gland care. These all contributed to my healing process.

Yoga: A Holistic Approach

As the program progressed over three weeks at Vedic Yoga Academy, it became clear that true recovery was a comprehensive process requiring more than just physical exercise or dietary changes; it encompassed understanding the self through science, psychology, spirituality, and philosophy. Yoga provides answers in all of these aspects, not only for the mind but also for the body.

My Gratitude

Reflecting on my 200-hour teacher trning experience at Vedic Yoga Academy, I am deeply grateful to Rahul Ji and Elli for saving me from a life that was spiraling out of control. Their mentorship was instrumental in leading me towards a path I've been seeking for a long time.
